Ten Productivity Tips

To whet your appetite we wanted to introduce you to 10 top tips for improving your productivity, why not download our Ten Productivity Tips Infographic:

Productivity Tip 1 – Create a Routine

What is the first thing you do each day and how does it help or hurt your productivity? Create a morning routine that makes you feel fresh and ready to start the day.

Productivity Tip 2 – Manage Time Drains

Keep in mind that time drains aren’t necessarily time wasters. But they’re things you need to control and keep in check. They won’t harm your productivity if you can effectively manage them.

Productivity Tip 3 – Improve Your Focus

When you’re performing a task, give it your full attention. If you find yourself too distracted or burnt-out, take a break and come back to the task when you can give it your full focus.

Productivity Tip 4 – Get Organised

No matter how affectionate you may feel toward your beloved clutter, a clean and tidy workspace generally leads to better productivity. Your workspace is a reflection of your mind.

Productivity Tip 5 – Pre-Work Rituals

One way to harness your focus is to create a pre-work ritual. This is a simple ritual that gets you into the right state of mind.

Productivity Tip 6 – Eliminate Distractions

Identify the things that distract you and hurt your productivity most. These are your main enemies!

Productivity Tip 7 – Discover your Rhythm

Discover you best times of day to focus. Each of us has our own natural rhythms. Get in touch with yours and use them to your advantage.

Productivity Tip 8 – Schedule your time

Monitor how you spend your time each day. For a week or two, keep a work log or journal. Look back over it and you may be surprised to discover how you’re really spending your time.

Productivity Tip 9 – Mind your health

Stay in the best physical health possible because it affects your mindset. Get some exercise, eat and sleep well, and develop some strategies for handling stress.

Productivity Tip 10 – Be Selective

Spend time each day to prioritise your to-do list and be sure to call out the must do item – try to get this done by 11am.
